Welcome to the homepage
of Holy Apostles Orthodox Mission, the first Orthodox Church in East
Texas. We began as a mission of St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church in
Mesquite, Texas in 2000 and received our first assigned priest in
August 2006. Since that time we have establised catechism classes, have hosted
several faith seminars and evangelistic programs, established an
Orthodox Christian Fellowship for college and university students,
and enjoyed a full schedule of divine services. We welcome you and
invite you to come enjoy the spiritual experience of a lifetime. We
teach the ancient Traditions of the Apostolic Christian faith with a
contemporary message that will enrich your life. The divine services
utilize the five senses, and the beautiful icons draw you to the
'Windows of Heaven.' Featured in the narthex is the beautiful
miraculous icon 'Rescuer of the Perishing', written by Gabriel
Hayman of Denver, Colorado. Our parish mission statement is: 'To
RESCUE the perishing, to RECLAIM a lost generation, and to PROCLAIM
the truths of Orthodox Christianity to East Texas.
ATTENTION, ATENTION, ATTENTION!!
